Detroit — The final field for the final Rocket Classic is set.
The PGA Tour announced Friday night the 141 players who are committed to teeing it up at Detroit Golf Club next week, when the eighth and final Rocket Classic will be played from July 30-Aug. 2.
There were no major changes with the final list of PGA Tour player commitments, from previous announcements, as the field continues to be highlighted by four players inside the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking, eight in the top 20 and more than half of the top 100. The field is arguably the best in the history of the Rocket Classic, and certainly the best since the rival LIV Golf tour began playing and poaching in 2022.
Headliners include Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka, all playing the Rocket for the first time, as well as world No. 3 Cameron Young, No. 5 Russell Henley, No. 7 Chris Gotterup and No. 9 Wyndham Clark, who won this year's U.S. Open. Michael Kim, world No. 57 who shot golf's magic number, 59, at the 3M Open on Friday, also is in.
World No. 24 Ryan Gerard was the lone notable new name on Friday's entry list, while Matt Kuchar was the lone notable absence from the previous commitments.
