Barcelona have moved to secure the future of one of the most highly-rated defenders to emerge from La Masia in recent years, with Alex Campos set to commit his long-term future to the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Barcelona defender has agreed a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2029, with Barcelona also holding the option to extend the deal by a further year until 2030.
Campos has enjoyed a strong rise through Barcelona's academy, impressing across both Juvenil B and Barcelona Atletic with his composure on the ball and tactical maturity.
Although he began his development as a midfielder, the 18-year-old has successfully transitioned into central defence, where his reading of the game, distribution and physical profile have made him one of the academy's most promising players.
