Former ESPN columnist and renowned author Chuck Klosterman gave a bold prediction for Sophie Cunningham. Klosterman thinks Cunningham would be running for vice president in 24 years. “Sophie Cunningham … in 2050 is going to be the vice president of the United States,” Klosterman said on The Bill Simmons Podcast. “I don’t know what party she’ll be in, I don’t know anything about her political views, but she will be the vice presidential candidate, at least the candidate.”
Klosterman cited his viral take from last year on Simmons’ podcast when he said that Cooper Flagg’s career would compare to Detlef Schrempf’s. He admitted he was wrong, but that’s pushed him to make even bolder predictions, which led to his prediction for Cunningham.
Klosterman added:
“I don’t know what it is about the fact that she [Sophie] wears those sleeves on the court. Something about the way she triggers the inbound plays at the end of games makes me think she will be someone’s ideal vice president. She has a likeable personality.”
