Real Madrid's midfield has been the subject of growing speculation throughout the summer, but one question now appears to have a definitive answer.
Federico Valverde will not be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho making it clear that the Uruguayan remains a central figure in his plans for the new season.
According to transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, there is no possibility of Valverde departing this summer despite recent reports linking him with a potential exit.
The decision comes at a time when Real Madrid are **** sing their squad in an effort to create room for further arrivals, particularly after strengthening several areas of the team.
With Aurelien Tchouameni recently committing his future to the club through a contract extension and Vinicius Jr.'s renewal also progressing, Mourinho has become increasingly influential in shaping the club's long-term project.
