Before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce walked down the aisle, there was the engagement that was heard around the world.
Kelce, who married the pop superstar during a ceremony at Madison Square Garden last weekend, looked back on his viral proposal to Swift during the season finale of his podcast "New Heights," which was released Wednesday, July 8.
The episode was reportedly prerecorded before the couple's wedding, according to People magazine.
After two years of dating, Swift and Kelce revealed their engagement in a joint Instagram post in August, which featured a five-photo carousel of the couple surrounded by flowers and Kelce kneeling before Swift. The post racked up nearly 38 million likes.
During Wednesday's episode of "New Heights," Kelce revealed the engagement took place after he and Swift recorded her appearance on the podcast, which was released on Aug. 13, 2025. The Grammy-winning singer helped Kelce and his cohost, brother Jason Kelce, kick off the show's season premiere with a candid interview that included discussions of Swift's music and her relationship with Kelce.
