The Justice Department and 17 states have reached a settlement with three of the country's largest egg producers over allegations of price fixing. The government says the egg companies illegally colluded for years to raise prices, including in 2025 when the cost soared to record highs. None of the companies admitted wrongdoing but agreed to pay $3.3 million and donate 53 million eggs to settle the states' claims.
