A proper scramble is breaking out across Europe for former West Brom kid Michael Parker. News broke via journalist Pete O'Rourke on X that Celtic are firmly in the mix, tracking the towering English defender after he shone in Sweden. It's been a whirlwind few months for the 21-year-old left-sided centre-back. Since swapping England for Allsvenskan side Örgryte IS back in February, he's absolutely taken Scandinavia by storm.
Naturally, his sudden ascent hasn't gone unnoticed. Rangers are sniffing about. Continental outfits like Anderlecht, Udinese, and Strasbourg are all clamouring for his signature too. It's a massive turnaround for a lad who couldn't buy a first-team appearance at the Hawthorns before deciding to pack his bags and head abroad.
Parker has become an absolute staple for the Swedish outfit throughout their 2025/26 campaign. 10 matches under his belt, and the consistency has been genuinely impressive. Word from the continent is that Örgryte are holding out for a €2m fee for their main man. Anderlecht already tried their luck with a €1.5m bid, but it was booted out immediately.

The Hoops need to look at this link with a completely clear head. Yes, Parker is 1.93m tall. Yes, he's left-footed, which is like gold dust to managers these days. But let's be honest: does the current management team really need another developmental project? Not a chance. The squad is already packed with raw prospects who need time to find their feet.
