At least one prominent player won't participate in Tuesday's WNBA Commissioner's Cup final between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty.
Liberty forward Satou Sabally remains in concussion protocol and is listed as out for Tuesday’s game. The Aces, meanwhile, have listed four-time MVP A'ja Wilson as questionable with a right leg injury.
Wilson rolled her right ankle in the fourth quarter of Las Vegas’ 107-99 win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday. She briefly left for the locker room, but was able to return to the game and finish with a game-high 30 points and 15 rebounds. But her status for Wednesday’s Commissioner’s Cup showdown is in doubt.
Tuesday’s final will be played between the winners of the the last four WNBA championships. The Aces are the reigning champions and winners of three of the last four ***** les. The Liberty won the franchise’s first WNBA ***** le in 2024.
The game is a matchup of two of the league’s top five teams in the standings. And it’s slated to feature some of the game’s biggest stars, including New York’s Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu and Las Vegas’ Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young.
