Dailyn Swain is heading to the Windy City. The former Texas Longhorns guard/forward has been drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 15 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The Xavier transfer lead Texas in points, rebounds, ***** ists and steals during the season.
Described as a "point forward" thanks to his playmaking and passing ability, Swain followed Texas coach Sean Miller from the Musketeers to the Longhorns last offseason. The move paid off. Swain helped Texas reach the Elite Eight, while elevating his national profile. He's now a Top 15 pick in the NBA Draft.
Many scouts believe Swain will be successful at the next level if he is able to develop a consistent three-point shot, something that improved on the Forty Acres. While playing in the SEC, Swain shot a career-best 34.4 percent from beyond the arc.
The Columbus, Ohio native averaged 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 ***** ists per game during his lone season with Texas. He previously spent two years at Xavier.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound wing played in 99 career games, starting in 72. Swain finished his collegiate career with 1,128 points, 545 rebounds, 254 ***** ists and 142 steals. He reached double digits in rebounds 11 times while recording 11 career double-doubles.
