Catherine, Princess of Wales, attended Trooping the Colour, the annual ceremonial parade celebrating King Charles III's official birthday, held at Buckingham Palace on Saturday.
Over the years, this event has often left us with little more than balcony photographs, making it difficult to fully appreciate Catherine's ensemble. This year, however, we were treated to a complete view of her powder-blue Catherine Walker coat dress, which felt perfectly suited to the occasion.
The double-breasted design, accented with crisp white trim, struck a familiar note for the Princess, whose wardrobe frequently returns to clean tailoring and elegant colour palettes for major royal engagements. Paired with a coordinating Philip Treacy hat and classic white pumps, the look was instantly recognisable as Catherine's signature style.

Royal fashion watchers may also have noticed the resemblance to a Catherine Walker coat dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1987, adding another layer of royal fashion history to the occasion.
