Minor League Recap: Jace LaViolette Triples

Jacob Cozart had the top offensive performance for Akron, going 2-for-5 with a home run and a double.
The recently-promoted Jaison Chourio wasn’t too far behind, reaching base safely four times. He went 1-for-2 with three walks, although he got caught stealing home. Chourio has a .333 batting average at Double-A.
Jose Devers was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base. Alex Mooney went 2-for-4 while Jake Fox singled and walked and Nick Mitchell walked twice and stole a base.
Starting pitcher Justin Campbell’s incredible season continued, allowing one run on four hits in a season-long 5.0 innings. He struck out four and walked one.
Relievers Jack Jasiak and Jay Driver combined for 3.0 additional innings of scoreless relief to help preserve the win.
