The December full moon, or "Cold Moon," will peak in Kentucky on Thursday, Dec. 4, and it marks the last supermoon of the year. It will also appear full on Friday, Dec. 5.

The next full moon is visible on Thursday, Dec. 4, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. It is the third and final supermoon of 2025.
The Cold Moon will peak at 6:14 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The name for the December full moon originated from the Mohawk tribe, who called it the Cold Moon because of the frigid conditions that occur during the month.
