Madison Beer and Justin Herbert are engaged after nearly a year together.
The singer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback announced the news in a joint Instagram post on July 28, sharing photographs and videos from an elaborate outdoor proposal surrounded by flowers.
"Meet my fiancé," Beer captioned the carousel, which also provided the first close look at her large diamond engagement ring.
One photograph showed Herbert on one knee beneath an arbor decorated with greenery and white flowers. Beer crouched in front of him as he held an open ring box, capturing the moment before she accepted his proposal.
The photographs, taken by Mark Deleon, showed Beer wearing a white cardigan and coordinating lace skirt by With Jéan. Herbert wore a white long-sleeved shirt with black trousers. They have not announced a wedding date, venue or other ceremony plans.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Justin Herbert has his first ring, and it's not on the football field.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Madison Beer jointly announced their engagement in an Instagram post Tuesday. It was accompanied by a photo of Herbert on bended knee holding a ring box in front of a smiling Beer, who was crouched with her right hand on his left knee. The caption read, "Meet my fiancé."
The congratulatory responses included ones from the NFL and the Chargers, as well as singer Gracie Abrams.
The couple was first spotted together last August. Beer attended some Chargers games last season, and she and Herbert kissed on the sidelines at one game. They've also turned up at Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers games.
Herbert appeared in Beer's "lovergirl" video this spring.

A former Nebraska quarterback recently talked in-depth about one of Nebraska's great on-field rivalries. Eric Crouch spoke to Hail Varsity about the history of the Huskers' rivalry with the Oklahoma Sooners.
The two teams have played one another 88 times in a rivalry that began in 1912. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 47-38-3 and has won the last three meetings.
The Huskers and Sooners have also played in many high-profile games against one another. They have met 18 times with both teams ranked in the top ten and four times with the two teams ranked No. 1 and No. 2.
Crouch was 1-1 against the Sooners as the starting quarterback for Nebraska. He spoke to Hail Varsity about how almost every game between the two teams had national ***** le implications.
"The history between Nebraska and Oklahoma was deep. It goes back years and years and there were a lot of trick plays and a lot of competitive games. A lot of ***** les came down to the Nebraska/Oklahoma game so it really felt like a ***** le game."

THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB, London — A ball kid scurries along the net before crouching down. The wind ruffles the hem of a skirt. A player wipes the bead of sweat from their brow. They prepare to serve, bouncing the ball, once, twice, three times.
Then it arrives. The percussive thwock of strings meeting ball.
No words have more impact than that sound, and when fans watch tennis on television, they do so in silence. The movements of the players, the geometries that they craft and their speed of thought and shot are all there for them to see. For a commentator, to talk would be to get in the way.
"That's sacrilege," Jonathan Overend, a tennis commentator for over 25 years, currently with Sky Sports and previously BBC Radio, said during an interview at Wimbledon. Overend, 53, views tennis commentary as a musical composition, guided by the rhythm of not just the games, sets and matches, but of the action itself.
The server receives the ***** . The point plays out. The crowd reacts. The process repeats.

The Three Lions made it into the World Cup quarter-finals in a nerve-shredding battle against Mexico. After the final whistle, there was no stopping them. The team celebrated the triumph extensively with the fans. The English may not have the Yellow Wall, but they do have Wonderwall. The Oasis classic was once again belted out at full volume.
No wonder Harry Kane's voice was even more shot in the interview afterwards than the penalty spot from which Kylian Mbappé fired France into the quarter-finals against Paraguay.
"Sorry, I've lost my voice, I've been singing the whole time, I can't really talk," Kane apologized to the BBC reporter - but then the captain still croaked on: "It's unbelievable. A crazy game. My God, we fought so hard. Unbelievable, the team, everything, it's just unbelievable."
This spontaneous loss of voice, complete with such wonderful voice cracks, was surely helped along by this heartwarming meeting with England legend Peter Crouch.
England have definitely caught the wave of euphoria. Let's see whether Thomas Tuchel's team can end this journey with the golden trophy in their luggage.

How police unknowingly found, then captured, escaped 'Slender Man' attacker

The day after Morgan Geyser cut off her ankle monitor and fled her group home, Illinois police unknowingly found her crouched against a wall at a truck stop two hours away Sunday night.
Huddled next to her friend, Geyser told officers that she was worried about being separated from 43-year-old Chad Mecca, who was shaking from the cold and occasionally struggling to speak. The pair evaded questions about their identity as Geyser told officers that she had done “something really wrong.”
