Several locals reportedly voiced their annoyance to the Daily Expresso after a reporter headed to the area to sound out reactions to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK return. Discussing it on the podcast on Wednesday, August 26, host JJ Anisiobi revealed that some residents were "already furious."
He said, "A woman in a coffee shop, who lives in the local area, says: 'They should be banned. They are a disgrace. I think Meghan is an awful, dreadful woman. It can't be easy being in the royal family- they've got their faults as well, but they're two-faced in screaming about privacy.'"
Anisiobi shared that another local felt that the Duke had damaged his relationships beyond repair. A different resident voiced a separate worry about how the Sussexes' presence might affect the area's well-known tranquillity.
