Good morning everyone! As hinted last week, I am doing something different with the Tracks of the Day this week. I’m still in the process of updating the TOTD playlist but it’s brought back some memories for me when I began doing this hoddle more than four years ago.
A big hope of mine when starting the TOTD feature was to end the hoddle on something fun to listen to, to share some music I like or I think is interesting. Heck, even if I didn’t like it, I thought to myself, “Maybe it’s worth putting out there anyways”.
More than 1,000 songs have been featured since then. Here are the first ten that were featured:

Despite high heat and blazing sun, hundreds turned out to celebrate America's 250th birthday with the Springfield Cardinals on July 4, 2026. Before the gates opened, local heavy metal band Transylvania kept the crowd's energy up with dancing and music.
As guests filtered in, they were greeted with carnival games like axe throwing as well as a dunk tank that let kids submerge Springfield Cardinals General Manager Dan Reiter. Tracy Pierce, with Touch of Color Body Art, painted faces with patriotic colors and glitter.
Before the game, the Cardinals hosted their third annual Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. Participants included KOLR 10's Chris Pinson, who won last year's contest, as well as St. Louis food influencer Jay Pippi, local musician Josh Heinrichs and Missouri State University baseball player Michael Yusypchuk. Yusypchuk dethroned Pinson by eating nine hotdogs in 7 minutes. Pinson managed eight.

Earlier in June, Rockwell Automation's Board of Directors authorized the company to spend up to an additional $1B to repurchase common stock. The new authorization is in addition to the Sept. 5, 2024, authorization to repurchase $1B worth of common stock, of which about $215M remained as of May 31.

Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ:AVGO) is one of the best AI networking stocks to buy according to ******* ysts. The company gave investors a fresh AI infrastructure catalyst on June 9, when it announced the AI XPV Platform with Apollo and Blackstone as initial anchor investors.
The platform is designed to enable more than 20 gigawatts of compute capacity through 2028 using Broadcom's XPUs and networking solutions customized for frontier AI labs, including Anthropic and OpenAI. It is launching with an initial $35 billion tranche, led by Apollo in partnership with Blackstone, to support Anthropic's planned expansion of more than 1 gigawatt of compute infrastructure at Fluidstack-based sites, starting in mid-2026.

That makes Broadcom one of the cleanest fits for an AI networking list because the story is not only about custom accelerators. The company's AI infrastructure roadmap also depends on networking solutions that connect accelerators, servers, and large-scale AI clusters for training and inference. Broadcom said the platform creates a scalable framework for future XPU-based compute capacity and networking aimed at enabling frontier model training and inference at lower cost and power.
Broadcom's latest results reinforced the momentum. On June 3, the company reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $22.19 billion, up 48% year over year, while AI semiconductor revenue reached $10.8 billion, up 143%, driven by demand for custom AI accelerators and AI networking.

I found myself standing in line for a hotdog at Classic Park. But I wasn’t there for a Lake County Captains game. No, I was there for the NCAA DIII Baseball Championship. Denison was playing Endicott in the second game of a three-game series, with Denison having won the first, 6-0. Today we had the second game, with a double-header being played if necessary. I couldn’t miss all that action taking place at Classic Park.
My final college decision actually came down to Kenyon College and Denison. I visited both on the same day and went to Denison first. I walked all around the beautiful campus and talked to the head track coach about pole vaulting there. And when I left, I thought I was going to run track for Denison. But in the end, Kenyon gave me more scholarship money so I went there instead. It was one of the worst decisions of my life, but an important life-lesson not to let money control me. And there’s still a part of me that wonders what would have been if I’d gone to Denison instead.
As I waited in line, there was a bit of a commotion from behind me as someone hurriedly pushed their way toward the counter through the current of moving bodies. A vibrant, coffee-fueled voice shot out, “Make it 2 hotdogs and a coffee — black!”
I spun around, and there was Gus in all his glory. The red flannel, the crooked ‘C’ cap, and that gray handlebar mustache.
