Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante are set to sign lifetime contract extensions with Roma.
Both players are considered by Gian Piero Gasperini to be crucial to his coaching project, following their third-place finish and Champions League qualification in his first year as Roma coach.
The contract extensions for Gasperini’s two loyalists seemed a done deal, but after the heavy defeat against Inter (5-2), the Giallorossi decided to put the deal on hold.
Now, Mancini and Cristante are close to renewing their respective contracts until 2030.
Tony D’Amico has recently resumed discussions with the players to extend, with the necessary adjustments, their agreements with Roma.
