The Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 on Thursday night.
It was Adley Rutschman's first game in Baltimore since the trade that made him a member of the Red Sox. He homered in his first at-bat and homered again in the sixth inning.
Earlier this year, while still with the Orioles, Rutschman had a two-home-run game against the Red Sox. That game was back in April, and the Orioles won 10-3. With his multi-homer game on Thursday, he became the first player in MLB history with a multi-homer game on both sides of the same matchup in the same season.
Rutschman has not had the best showing since the trade, but playing in Baltimore again, he put on a show. The Red Sox will hope he can get hot for the final stretch and the postseason.
