A documentary crew for Paramount followed the Texas Tech football team the past nine months, and now Red Raider fans can see what they got out of it.
"The Program" officially launched on Paramount+ on Friday, Sept. 4, a four-part docuseries taking you inside the whirlwind offseason for the Red Raiders. There's plenty to digest, some of which may be difficult for Texas Tech fans to relive so close to the start of the 2026 season.
Here are some of the most notable things that appear in the series, and whether or not this was a good idea in the long run for Texas Tech.
Dennis Quaid narrates the series, and the intro has very strong "Friday Night Lights" inspiration.
The first episode sets up the narrative, recapping Tech's ascent to its current position and introducing us to some of the central figures, such as Ben Roberts, Terrance Carter Jr. and, of course, Brendan Sorsby. It ends with a teaser about Sorsby being sued by Cincinnati for $1 million. with KAMC journalist David Collier sharing the news on television.
