Visa has introduced an upgraded version of its A2A Protect solution, aimed at helping financial institutions identify account-to-account fraud before customer funds are transferred out.
The update includes a new unified fraud score. This marks the first in-market product to integrate technology from Featurespace since Visa acquired the company.
The unified score is designed to give banks clearer and faster signals for spotting fraudulent transactions. It also aims to cut down on false alerts.
Alongside the enhanced A2A Protect, Visa is building a separate capability called Visa Graph IQ.
According to the payments major, this tool uses graph-based, agentic technology to support deeper fraud investigations. It is designed to help institutions map out fraud networks, spot money mule activity, flag emerging threats, and speed up investigation timelines.
