Warriors' Steph Curry gets major contract extension update: 'There is no negotiation' originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Golden State Warriors did not have the best offseason by any means, but they were able to bring back some familiar faces. The Warriors are entering the final stages of both Draymond Green and Steph Curry's careers.
However, Curry is expected to receive a contract extension at some point soon, and the deal is set to be a hefty one for this stage of his career.
"What the terms of a new extension look like for Curry will be completely up to him, as the Warriors are prepared to offer their star whatever he wants. If Steph wants the full $136.7 million through the 2028-29 season, he will get that. If he wants to take a discount to help the team, GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. will have no problem with said deal," NBA insider Brett Siegel wrote.
The only thing with Curry is that his extension has a lot riding on it.
