The last few days have been busy for some of the six players that Real Madrid have signed during the summer transfer window. Carlos Espi was presented on Sunday, and the same can now be said for Marc Cucurella and Yan Diomande.
Cucurella was unveiled by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez on Monday, and after his presentation, he spoke to the club's official media channels. As per MD, he expressed his delight at joining "the best club in the world".
"It's a source of pride (to be presented as a Real Madrid player). It is a very special day for me and my family. The summer has been long, but I've been enjoying it for a while, a few weeks now. It is an honour to be able to wear the shirt of the best club in the world; everything he has won and everything he has left to win. To be a part of this is a very special thing."
Cucurella also recalled the process of him becoming a Real Madrid player, including the first time he became aware that they wanted to sign him.
"I didn't believe it at first. I remember that my agents had written to me. We have a group with my agents, my wife and I and they told me to call them. I was in the United States and it was eight in the morning and I said: 'Something has happened, they have to give me some bad news'. They told me to video call, we called each other and I didn't believe it. At first it was a bit of a shock because I didn't expect that, they hadn't communicated anything to me.
