Tennessee star linebacker Arion Carter got some good news regarding his two-game suspension on Tuesday.
Carter got his suspension reduced to one game, meaning he's now eligible to play in Week 2 against Georgia Tech. He was originally suspended for three games before an appeal from Tennessee reduced it to two. Now, it's been knocked down to one game.

Tennessee athletic director Danny White released a statement shortly after the news was made official.
"The NCAA has agreed to reduce Arion Carter's suspension from 2 games to 1. While I strongly agree with Josh Heupel's comment about how ridiculous this is in our current environment, 1 game is better than 2," White posted on his X account. "If players around the country are allowed to leave NFL camps and play college football, the NCAA should do the right thing and drop it all altogether."
