PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Alec Bohm tripled to deep center field in the 10th inning Friday night, driving in two runs as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-6.
Bohm hit a 2-2 pitch from St. Louis reliever Luis Gastelum (3-3) that eluded Jose Fermin in center. Automatic runner Bryce Harper and Edmundo Sosa, running for Luis Arraez, scored on the play as the Phillies extended their winning streak to seven games.
Gastelum had cruised through the ninth inning, but gave up consecutive hits to Arraez and Bohm in the 10th.
It was Bohm's third hit of the game. Arraez and Brandon Marsh also had three hits for the Phillies.
The Cardinals had scored their extra runner in the top half of the inning on Fermin's RBI single off Alex McFarlane (2-1).
