London Johnson's Louisville basketball career has ended before the former NBA G League guard logged an official minute for the Cardinals.
UofL on Friday, Aug. 21, announced Johnson was dismissed from the program "due to a violation of team rules and university policy.
"We wish him the best in his future endeavors," the statement reads.
Johnson signed with Louisville last November as one of the first former G Leaguers to return to the college ranks. He joined the program roughly a month later and redshirted the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
Johnson came close to burning his redshirt in January, however, with the Cards weathering injuries to starting guards Mikel Brown Jr. and Ryan Conwell. He was available to play in a Jan. 10 win over Boston College at the KFC Yum! Center; but coach Pat Kelsey came back three days later to say he was sticking with the original plan to redshirt.
