Quenching the thirst of the annual content drought, the NBA has dropped its 2026-27 regular season. The Oklahoma City Thunder now have the next month-plus to completely dissect when and where they'll face their opponents during the seven-month marathon.
Entering the 2026-27 season as a co-title favorite, the Thunder are once again an NBA main character. They'll have the fifth-most national TV games with 30. Only the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers have more at 34 apiece.
Even with their cost-cutting moves this summer, the Thunder remain arguably the best team. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams are one of the top league trios. With one championship ring in hand, they're looking to add another this upcoming year.
One of the recent NBA regular season perks is the baseball series. Gaining popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule-makers have had teams face off against each other two times in a row — usually in the same arena. That eases some of the travel load that teams go through.
