Christos Tzolis says **** nal are ready to defend their Premier League crown and claimed the "pressure" is on the champions' rivals to stop them from sealing back-to-back **** les.
New signing Tzolis scored in his first appearance for the Gunners since his move from Club Brugge in a 4-1 win at Girona on Saturday.
Despite serious interest in Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior and Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes – the latter possibly completing a switch to the Emirates Stadium this week – Tzolis remains the champions' sole outfield signing of the summer so far.
Key defender William Saliba will miss the start of the season with a back injury while there are fitness doubts over Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka following their interrupted World Cup campaigns for England.
However, when asked if **** nal are ready to defend their first **** le in 22 years, Tzolis replied: "Of course. To defend a **** le, you don't have to think about it. It's more difficult for the other teams because the pressure is there, not on the team who won the **** le.
