The Detroit Tigers, in what could've been the final start of Tarik Skubal's career in Detroit, fell to the Baltimore Orioles in extra-innings.
It wasn't just a sad loss for the Tigers; it might've been the nail in the coffin for Detroit to be sellers this season as well. With just a few days left before the August 3 MLB trade deadline, the Tigers' plan for the deadline has become clear.
According to ESPN's Jeff Passan on SportsCenter, the Tigers' plan with Skubal is clear: the back-to-back Cy Young-winning ace is fully expected to be traded in the coming days.
"Yeah, Tarik Skubal is going to be traded," Passan said. "... the expectation is that's going to happen in the next day or two..."
