George and Amal Clooney are standing by their French community after evacuating their home as wildfires spread across parts of Europe.
The couple said in a letter to the city's mayor that they left their home in Brignoles, southern France, which a representative for George Clooney confirmed to People in a report published on July 29.
"Dear Didier, at this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment," the letter said, according to People.
