Nick Sanchez has earned more races with Peterson Racing Group in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series. Sanchez will drive the No. 87 car for Peterson Racing Group in the next five races during the 2026 O'Reilly Series season, as announced by the team. This comes after the former AM Racing driver's first batch of races with the organization.
Austin Green served as the full-time driver of the No. 87 car to start the 2026 NASCAR season, but Peterson Racing Group decided to give Sanchez a chance in its race cars. It has worked out well, as Sanchez came close to winning the O'Reilly Series race at EchoPark Speedway in July.
Now, Sanchez has earned the next five races with the organization, and it could help him return to a full-time seat on the O'Reilly Series grid for the 2027 NASCAR season. After all, Sanchez has been impressive in the No. 87 car, and Peterson Racing Group could be a potential landing spot in 2027.
