The Courier Journal is looking for a talented high school intern to produce multimedia content as part of our local high school sports coverage this fall. The successful candidate will bring coverage to life through short-form video, social-first storytelling and written reporting for The Courier Journal and its website, courier-journal.com.
This is a paid position that requires after-school flexibility, working some nights or weekends, and travel to games in or near your local community. Some work may also take place in our Louisville newsroom. The internship is part of a USA TODAY Network program highlighting high school sports coverage from high school students across the nation.
The program, sponsored by T-Mobile, will give students real-world experience in writing, video creation and social media content, working with Courier Journal editors in Louisville. As part of the program, a select group of interns could be featured in a short-form, documentary-style video that chronicles how they covered their beats as high school students.
