NFL ******* yst Ryan Clark was among many employees to exit ESPN in the mass layoffs following the NFL Network acquisition. The details surrounding Clark's exit, specifically when he was notified, has been a hot topic, and Clark decided to share the truth Wednesday.
In a post quoting a TMZ report suggesting he wasn't forced off the NFL Live set upon his dismissal, Clark wrote, "I wasn't forced? 'I ask, should I be done now?' The answer was 'yes.'"
TMZ is reporting that Clark was going to be notified of his role in the mass layoffs Tuesday, but ESPN got word of a report announcing Clark's exit was coming out imminently, so the company decided to notify Clark immediately. Clark learned the news during a commercial break, according to TMZ, and he did not return to show.
Along with Clark, the following employees reportedly got laid off from ESPN: Karl Ravech, Stephania Bell, Tom Pelissero, Cam Newton, Bart Scott, Charles Davis and David Lloyd.
Here's what Clark had to say about the layoffs.
