Shania Twain has reflected on the devastating collapse of her first marriage and revealed how she found love again with a man navigating the very same betrayal.
The 60-year-old singer separated from record producer Robert "Mutt" Lange in 2008 after learning that he had reportedly been having an affair with her close friend and **** istant, Marie-Anne Thiébaud.
In an extraordinary twist, Shania later fell in love with Marie-Anne's then-husband, Swiss businessman Frédéric Thiébaud, after the pair supported each other through the breakdown of their respective marriages.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, Shania revealed that it was Frédéric who first confronted her with the truth about their spouses.
"Fred takes the blinders off, tells me what's going on. I don't believe him and I tell him that I think he is imagining things, delusional," she said.
