According to ESPN's Shams Charania, former Los Angeles Lakers standout forward LeBron James is nearing his looming free agency decision, and the Golden State Warriors remain on his list of potential targets.
Signing James will present its fair share of obstacles, as NBA reporter Evan Sidery reported that it'll be challenging for the franchise to pull off a headline-worthy deal without trading for a 6-foot-10 Los Angeles Lakers NBA champion castoff.
"The Warriors remain in active pursuit of signing LeBron James, but landing him still likely depends on trading for Anthony Davis,' Sidery wrote on X/Twitter Sunday.
Sidery then suggested that the Warriors could do what seems impossible and acquire Davis by shipping Jimmy Butler and valuable draft capital to the Washington Wizards.
