Was Jayson Tatum out of the loop on the Boston Celtics trade of Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George and draft ***** ets? Based on some of the chatter we have heard from former teammates like Jeff Teague on his "Club 520" podcast, there is a case to be made that the move caught the St. Louis native by surprise as much as it did the rest of us.
Add in the comments from Boston President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens at his post-trade presser with team majority owner Bill Chisholm that he had not been in contact much with Tatum about the trade, and it seems possible that the Duke alum may have only known that no one is safe in today's NBA.
