Joey Chestnut, who in the immortal words of ESPN sports reporter Jeremy Schaap is “the greatest eater in the annals of eating, in the annals of humankind, and food,” won his 18th ******* le today at the annual July 4th Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, New York.
Chestnut scarfed down 66 dogs, 10 shy of his all-time best set in 2021 but plenty enough to beat out today’s #2 : Pat Bertoletti, who at 51 in the 10-minute contest aired live on ESPN (watch it below).
