According to a report from Sky Germany journalists Kerry Hau, Patrick Berger, and Florian Plettenberg (as captured by iMiaSanMia), the DFB is prepared to give Jürgen Klopp the power to enact change and make any adjustments that he sees fit:
Jürgen Klopp will be given significant power to fundamentally change and restructure things. He would bring his own staff – including his long-term ******* istant Peter Krawietz. Pepijn Lijnders and Zsolt Löw are also possible candidates. The role and future of sporting director Rudi Völler is not yet entirely clear. The DFB believes that the Völler/Klopp partnership would work well until EURO 2028. Under Klopp’s leadership, fundamental problems are to be addressed, including the overall playing style, system and player development at youth levels.
To get a coach like Klopp, the DFB will have to make some concessions, but it is about more than that right now. Germany needs someone with a vision and a plan for how to see it through. Right now, there is not a better candidate than Klopp to take on that responsibility.
