According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, his performances really convinced the Serie A side to make a firm offer this summer.
It won't be easy, considering those games on the biggest stage in football have undoubtedly caused his valuation on the market to swell.
Any move would now cost at least €5-6m, but would make him a strong investment for the Granata.
