We are just seventy days away from Texas football and (after a few days off), we are back with another prediction. This is comfortably the most bold prediction of the series. Today, it’s about the trio of Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo and Emmett Mosley V. Considering each WRs skillset, I believe each one will top the Longhorns in a different receiving stat.
Let’s start with what most **** ume will be WR1, Cam Coleman. I believe Coleman’s impact will be felt early and often this season, mainly in the form of receiving TDs. His elite 50/50 ball ability makes him a redzone nightmare and someone that’ll get similar chances on the goalline AD Mitchell did in 2024. I think he’ll make the most of those chances and will lead the Horns in receiving TDs.
Moving to the presumed WR2, Ryan Wingo. Wingo’s ability after the catch, especially with Cam Coleman on the other side, will be utilized consistently. Because of that, I believe he will lead the Longhorns in receiving yards this season. He finished the season incredibly strong and now, with Coleman and Mosley taking attention, I think that’ll continue into this season.
Finally, we’ve made it to Mosley, who I think will set the pace in receptions. This might be the heaviest lift here, simply because there will be more plays designed for the other two. That being said, Mosley’s ability to find soft spots in the defense and his strong hands will make the difference here. No. 3 will be looked to on third down consistently and I don’t expect him to miss many of those chances.
Obviously, this prediction would require health for the trio. If Texas gets that, I think this is the best starting WR trio in the country and plays off each other perfectly. Coleman will require supreme attention, allowing Ryan Wingo the **** e to be special after the catch. Mosley’s hands will give Manning a true “security blanket” throughout the season. In between the 20s, Wingo and Mosley will dominate, then it’ll be Cam Coleman time near the goal line.
