The Atlanta Braves are looking to avoid being swept on Wednesday when they take on the San Diego Padres. Atlanta has hit a bit of a rough patch over the last couple of weeks, but remains in first place in the NL East.
Before the series finale against the Padres, the Braves announced several roster moves, centered around RHP Tyler Kinley and rookie JR Ritchie.
The Braves' official X account made the official announcements:
"The #Braves today reinstated RHP Tyler Kinley from the injured list after optioning RHP JR Ritchie to Triple-A Gwinnett. The club also selected RHP Ian Hamilton to the major league roster and designated RHP Carlos Carrasco for ****** ignment."
