Joey Ansell, Brentwood Academy: Ansell, a Kentucky signee, batted .389 with 28 hits, five home runs and 30 RBIs. He was also the Eagles’ top pitcher with a 6-1 record, 1.80 ERA and 64 strikeouts during BA’s DII-AA state runner-up season.
Stephen Bobo, Shelbyville: Bobo, a Vanderbilt signee, batted .526 with 50 Hits, 11 extra-base hits and 23 stolen bases going into the Class 4A state tournament. He was 2-1 as a pitcher with two saves, a 2.80 ERA and 38 strikeouts.
