Former FSU outfielder Addie Delong is headed home. She committed to and signed with the Ohio State Buckeyes on Tuesday, announcing the news on social media.
She spent two seasons at FSU and will reportedly have three seasons of eligibility after appearing in just one game in 2026 before suffering a season-ending injury. She played in 55 games as a true freshman in 2025, hitting .333 in 30 at-bats with one double, one triple, and two RBI. She stole six bases and was expected to have a bigger role in 2026 before her injury.
DeLong is ranked as the No. 33 overall player and No. 8 outfielder in the transfer portal by Softball America. She is from Mechanicsburg, Ohio, and was a four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class when she signed with FSU.
She is one of four FSU players to enter the transfer portal this offseason, and the first to find her new home. All-American infielders Isa Torres and Jaysoni Beachum are among the top players in the portal, with pitcher Mimi Gooden also looking for her next school after redshirting.
