Currently, the Boston Red Sox are 29-40 and 5.5 games behind the final spot in the AL Wild Card. While it is certainly doable to get back into the playoff race, they need to address their biggest issue: their pitiful offense.
If the Sox can get a good bat by the deadline, they may be able to turn this chaotically bad season around. Luckily, it seems the San Francisco Giants are putting up multiple stars for sale, and if Boston doesn’t want a reunion with Rafael Devers, getting his teammate Willy Adames might be a good play.
