We usually don’t hear about fights breaking out at NFL practices until training camp, but the Detroit Lions are kicking off practice fight season early.
According to Jeremy Reisman of Pride of Detroit, multiple fights broke out during the Lions’ first mandatory minicamp practice on Tuesday.
Making the situation even more strange, the fights occurred during a walkthrough, when players are going half-speed, at most.
Lions backup offensive lineman Devin Cochran and defensive end Anthony Lucas were the first combatants, and then Lucas got into it with a different player on the next rep and Cochran got involved once again.
