German World Cup winner Sami Khedira is reportedly close to returning to his former club Real Madrid as an **** istant coach under José Mourinho.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is already in place for the 39-year-old former Germany international to take up a role as Mourinho's **** istant.
However, Sky Germany reports that while Khedira is keen on the move, several details still need to be negotiated, including the length of a potential contract.
Khedira, 39, retired from professional football in 2021. He represented Real Madrid between 2015 and 2021, scoring nine goals and providing 13 **** ists in 161 appearances.
At international level, he earned 77 caps for Germany, scoring seven goals.
