“I’d rather not fight with him for a ***** le, because I know what he’s capable of,” Wolff admitted.
Hamilton’s win moved him to 41 points behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli, whose ***** le campaign hit its first real issue in Barcelona when a power unit failure ended his afternoon early. Wolff added that the momentum of a championship attempt can quickly change, and that Hamilton is exactly the kind of driver who exploits that kind of opening.
“If he smells blood, he goes,” Wolff said. “I’ve seen it many years where suddenly, the Lewis Hamilton train started to go, and then it’s very difficult to stop it.”
