LANSING — Here is quick reaction from **** ton's season-opening road rout of Everett at Archie Ross Memorial Stadium.
WILLIE BROWN, **** TON — The senior has attracted college interest and showed his abilities on both offense and defense while scoring the first two touchdowns of the game. He has a TD reception on a fourth down play to cap a strong opening drive for the J-Dubbs. Brown added an 80-yard interception return for a score in the opening half.
In a game that featured six turnovers in the opening half — three from each team — **** ton gained some separation when Abdual Carter Foreman rushed for a TD on the J-Dubbs opening drive of the second half. That touchdown stretched the J-Dubbs lead to 26-0.
The J-Dubbs ended a two-game losing streak to Everett with the season-opening win that marked the biggest for **** ton in the rivalry since a 49-7 win in 2017. **** ton also gets big bragging rights among Lansing city schools and has a shot to be champs in the city if it beats Eastern in Week 9. The victory also give the J-Dubbs some momentum entering a big Week 2 road game against Portland to open CAAC White play. Portland has been the top team in the White the last several seasons.
