In a development that will come as a surprise to very few media observers, former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News.
According to The New York Times and confirmed by Mediaite, Leavitt is joining the network as an on-air contributor. She is expected to start on Nov. 1. An official announcement from the network is expected shortly.
"Karoline's firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today's political landscape," Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media CEO, said in a statement published by the Times.
In a statement of her own published by the Times, Leavitt vowed to provide "the unique perspective and candor that defined my tenure with the Trump administration" in her new role.
Leavitt will join Dana Perino and Kayleigh McEnany as former White House press secretaries on the Fox News roster.
