Alabama football is getting more healthy by the day.
Alabama offensive lineman Michael Carroll, who missed the Kentucky win Saturday, Sept. 12 with an undisclosed injury, will continue to work with the intention of playing against Florida State, DeBoer said.
"I feel confident that we'll get there. We'll just kind of have to see how the week goes, but I think it's heading in the right direction," DeBoer said. "Hope to get him back."
Running back AK Dear, DeBoer said, is "making good progress" in recovering from a lower-body injury. Dear was doing light practice late last week before Kentucky. Dear has not appeared in a game in 2026.
"His mindset's been awesome with what he had injury wise to just the recovery and response," DeBoer said. "His mindset's helped him come back even quicker."
