Savannah Guthrie celebrated Lady Gaga's entry into motherhood by looking back at a memorable exchange the pop star shared with her years ago.
During Monday's episode of Today, the host reacted to the announcement that Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first baby. Guthrie, a mother of two with husband Mike Feldman, brought up a unique note of encouragement the "Mother Monster" offered when Guthrie was pregnant with her eldest child, Vale.
"When I was pregnant with Vale and we didn't find out if it was a boy or a girl, Lady Gaga came on and she said, 'I think you're having a girl,' " Guthrie said, referring to the 2014 interview "And I said, 'Really? How do you know?' And she said, 'She told me.' Isn't that cute?"
Jenna Bush Hager, Vale's godmother, was stunned by the admission
"What! Vale and Lady Gaga had a connection?!" she said with excitement.
