The Chargers have made a flurry of moves since trimming the roster from 90 to 53 players.
One of those moves included trading away undrafted cornerback Avery Smith.
Smith was sent to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. In exchange, the Chargers received a 2027 sixth-round pick. The 22-year-old spoke to reporters on Thursday about the trade and admitted he was surprised by the trade for one particular reason.
"I follow football, and I haven't really heard of an undrafted free agent getting traded before the regular season," Smith said.
"So that is what surprised me."
